With the rapid expansion of electric vehicles and energy storage systems, lithium-ion batteries are operating at increasingly high energy densities.
Thermal runaway has become the most critical safety challenge, as extreme temperatures (450°C–1200°C) and flame jets can rapidly propagate from a single cell to the entire battery pack.
Conventional protection materials such as mica sheets or flame-retardant foams are unable to withstand such extreme thermal shock, making it difficult to effectively block thermal propagation.
