Efficient WarmthGarments made of aerogel fiber have better thermal performance than wool. Testing shows that the double-sided brushed rib knit fabric (170g/㎡) made from aerogel fiber achieves a heat retention rate of 61%, which far exceeds the "heat retention rate ≥ 30%" requirement specified in the industry standard FZ/T 73022—2012 Knitted Thermal Underwear.In addition, the thermal resistance of aerogel fiber woven fabrics, suede or wool-like fabrics is 30%-100% higher than that of similar ordinary polyester fabrics.

Light weight Aerogel has a bulk density of only 10kg-30kg/m³, and its yarns also feature lightweight properties. Under the same winding pressure, the density of aerogel fiber draw textured yarn cakes is 16-20% lower than that of ordinary polyester yarns of the same specification; the length of one ton of Zhongning Technology filament is 15-20% longer than that of ordinary products of the same weight.
