AG-TT Aerogel thermal insulation cotton is made from aerogel staple fibers via a special processing technique. It possesses the excellent thermal insulation properties of aerogel, and can be directly filled into items like military uniforms, thermal coats, jackets, quilts and pillows. It outperforms ordinary fiber insulation cotton in insulation performance, and retains its shape even after repeated washes. This material not only enhances the mechanical properties of the aerogel itself, but also endows the fibers with even better thermal insulation performance.

The decrease is almost negligible! Tests show that the Clo value of aerogel insulation cotton decreases by only 0.36%-3.89% after washing, and some models even show a slight increase in insulation value after washing, while the insulation performance of 80% and 90% down bags decreases by 3.94%-14.59% after washing.
Our AG-TT series aerogel cotton has obtained Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification and has successfully passed the RSL safety test, using safe and harmless substances.
Currently, the highest Clo value of our AG-TT series aerogel insulation cotton is 3.84 Clo, corresponding to model AG-TT200, with a weight of 200g/㎡ and a thickness of 36mm.
Weight is determined by a five-point sampling method with a sampling area of 50cm×50cm; thickness is measured under a standard pressure of 0.02Kpa with an effective pressure-bearing area of 30cm×30cm.
At the same grammage, aerogel cotton delivers excellent thermal performance: 60g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 1.52) outperforms 60g 3M Thinsulate G-Series (Clo approx. 1.30), and 100g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 2.45) is close to 100g 3M Thinsulate G-Series (Clo 2.5).
At the same grammage, the thermal insulation value of aerogel insulation cotton far exceeds that of silk-like cotton: 20g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 0.84) vs. silk-like cotton (Clo 0.65); 80g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 1.94) vs. silk-like cotton (Clo 1.65); 200g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 3.84) vs. silk-like cotton (Clo 2.81).
The thermal performance of 40g aerogel insulation cotton (Clo 1.26) is superior to 20g 80% down (Clo 1.399, dropping to 1.257 after washing). Moreover, its thermal insulation performance remains almost unchanged after washing, whereas 80% down experiences a significant drop of 10.15% in thermal insulation post-washing.
Suitable for military uniforms, thermal outerwear, windbreakers, sportswear, work clothes, thermal underwear, jackets, hand warmers, and neck warming accessories, etc.
