Aerogel Blanket for Steam Pipeline Insulation Renovation

In this steam pipeline renovation, the original 200~250mm aluminum silicate insulation had critical issues: rapid performance degradation after long-term use, severe heat loss, and excessive terminal steam temperature drop—common industrial steam pipeline pain points. To resolve these, our aerogel-based composite solution was adopted: 10mm aluminum silicate combined with 80mm/90mm aerogel insulation blankets. The renovation delivered remarkable results: When ambient temperature ≤25℃, the pipeline’s outer surface temperature remained <40℃ (meeting strict industry standards); actual steam temperature drop was only 9.14℃/km, far below the 12.8℃/km benchmark. Beyond drastically cutting heat loss and boosting steam efficiency, the ultra-thin aerogel solution saves on-site space, solving traditional insulation’s bulk issue while ensuring long-term reliability—proving its unparalleled value for industrial steam pipeline upgrades.
