AG-C HT Aerogel Coating Lowers Ethylene Cracking Furnace Temperature

An petrochemical enterprise in Fujian adopted 3-3.5mm AG-C aerogel high-temperature coating for the anti-scald insulation of its ethylene cracking furnace. The furnace’s outer surface temperature was 82℃ at 38℃ ambient temperature before coating. After application, AG-C coating reduced it to 51℃, while competitor’s coating only lowered it to 70℃. It effectively reduced the temperature to below 60℃, meeting national anti-scald requirements, reducing energy loss and avoiding under-insulation corrosion that traditional insulation cotton easily causes.
