AG-F Aerogel Insulation blanket Application in 2Mt Alumina Project

In Fangchenggang, December 2019, a metallurgy enterprise’s 2 million ton alumina project adopted 311.6m³ AG-F aerogel insulation blanket for outdoor overhead slurry pipelines. Covering 4 pipeline types (medium 108-170℃, outer diameter 0.53-0.63m), it used 15mm thickness for 108-127℃ slurry and 25mm for 170℃ slurry. Compared with glass wool (same 0.63m pipe, 28.1℃ surface temp), AG-F aerogel reduced thickness by 58% (60mm to 25mm) and unit length heat loss from 260.5W/m to 245W/m, avoiding traditional material failures and ensuring stable production.
