Aerogel Blanket for Industrial Steam Pipeline Insulation

For a 2 million-ton alumina project, aerogel insulation blankets are applied for pipeline insulation in the low-temperature Bayer process. Traditional material easily fail due to water absorption and delamination, increasing steam consumption. Aerogel's advantages stand out: ultra-low thermal conductivity, high water repellency, and long service life. In outdoor environment, its 25mm thickness (only 42% of glass wool's 60mm) achieves the same insulation effect, with lower heat loss (245W/m vs 260.5W/m for glass wool). It reduces energy consumption, prevents under-insulation corrosion, and ensures production safety with Class A non-combustible and eco-friendly features.
