AG-F Aerogel Blanket Boosts EV Bus Fireproof Performance

This fire insulation solution was implemented in 2019 for electric passenger buses in Shenzhen, Guangdong. 5mm AG-F aerogel blanket is adopted for battery compartment and passenger compartment isolation, delivering superior high-temperature resistance and thermal insulation. It can withstand lithium battery combustion flames for more than 30 minutes, preventing the fiber composite board above the battery compartment from igniting quickly in case of thermal runaway. This design ensures sufficient safe evacuation time for passengers on board. The fireproof material is equipped with self-adhesive backing, attached under the composite board and fixed with code nails from the reverse side for stable and durable installation, meeting strict safety standards for new energy commercial vehicles.
