AG-F Aerogel Insulation Blanket for Medium Pressure Steam Pipeline

In 2023, a new material enterprise in Taiyuan used AG-F aerogel insulation felt to renovate the medium pressure superheated steam pipeline of its caprolactam circulating water system steam turbine. The pipeline is DN600 and 40 meters long, transporting 425℃, 3.8MPa steam with a flow rate of 250 tons per hour. Compared with traditional insulation, AG-F aerogel reduced heat loss by 30% and insulation thickness by 50%, which stabilized steam temperature and pressure, cut energy consumption and prevented pipeline corrosion from temperature differences.
