Client needed to insulate steam pipeline ball valves in Sanmenxia's narrow, high-humidity underground chambers. Traditional insulation cotton had flaws: cumbersome construction, non-reusable after maintenance, and easy water absorption failure. AG Tech’s AG-C400 aerogel high-temperature coating (10mm, trowel-applied) solved these issues: simplified construction, bonded firmly without cracking or peeling, maintained surface temperature at ~40℃ with reliable insulation performance, and fit well in such confined, high-humidity industrial scenarios. Operating under harsh conditions (steam temperature: 568℃, pressure: 3.89Mpa, flow rate: 350t/h), the new aerogel solution showed remarkable advantages. Compared with the original 275mm-thick aluminum silicate, the aerogel insulation only required 95mm thickness (a reduction of 180mm). During full-load unit operation, the surface temperature after insulation dropped from 60℃ to 49℃, fully meeting strict technical requirements.
