High-Temperature Pipeline Aerogel Insulation Case Study

Some industrial pipelines operate at temperatures of up to 650°C, resulting in severe heat loss, high energy consumption, and safety risks to workers and nearby equipment. After installing 10 mm aerogel insulation blankets, the pipeline surface temperature was controlled at ≤50°C, ensuring safe operation conditions. The maximum heat loss was reduced to ≤200 W/m², significantly improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
