Extreme Temperature and Anti-Condensation Project

In August 2020, a grain depot in Pingding, North China, finished a renovation project on a 1,000 m² single-story warehouse, applying AG-C aerogel insulating coating system. This project targets the extreme temperature difference between -15℃ in winter and 38℃ in summer in Pingding area, which caused severe condensation on the silo inner wall, grain moisture, and shortened storage cycle. We adopted a composite scheme of aerogel insulation blanket + hydrophobic coating, forming a full-envelope thermal insulation system for the silo. After the retrofit, the annual temperature difference in the silo was controlled within 5℃, condensation was completely eliminated, and the safe grain storage cycle was extended by more than 2 times.
